Visiting
Where is De Wildt 4x4?
Farm 56 / 56 Brits Road (R513), Schietfontein, De Wildt, 0251 — at the foot of the Magaliesberg, off the R513 Brits Road.
When are you open?
Facility open 7 days a week, 07h30 – 17h30. Office hours: 08h00 – 16h30.
How do I get in at the gate?
The property has an electric perimeter fence. On arrival, phone the number displayed at the gate for access.
Can I visit for the day?
Yes. Day visits are available for the 4x4 routes, hiking and fishing.
Will I see wildlife?
Game roams freely in the Game Park. Sightings are never guaranteed.
4x4
What 4x4 routes are there?
Green 4x4 Route (10 km), Red 4x4 Extreme Route (7.8 km), Car / Sedan Route (4.8 km).
Do I need a 4x4?
No. The Car / Sedan Route suits ordinary vehicles.
Which route needs a lifted vehicle?
The Red 4x4 Extreme Route is aimed at experienced drivers with approximately 2-inch lifted vehicles.
Are the routes guided?
All routes are self-drive and undertaken at the driver's own risk.
Does De Wildt 4x4 offer driver training?
Independent specialist 4x4 training is also conducted at De Wildt by training partners. Training is arranged with those independent partners.
Hiking
How long are the hiking routes?
Brown Route 3.6 km, Pink Route 3.5 km, Green Route 9 km, Blue Route 7 km.
How much is hiking?
R150 per person per day.
Fishing
What can I catch?
Carp, on a catch-and-release basis.
Can I hire equipment?
No. Please bring your own fishing equipment.
How much is fishing?
R150 per person per day.
Accommodation
What is included in the units?
Bedding, basic cutlery and a fridge. Towels are not supplied.
What is Kingfisher?
Kingfisher has 3 bedrooms with 11 single beds. Minimum booking: 8 persons. R550 per person per night.
Are there group packages?
Yes: Tent Town (R9,500 per night for 20 people), Buffel Tents (R5,200 per night for 10 people) and the Giraffe Package (R8,900 per night for 20 people).
Camping
How much is camping?
R200 per person per night.
What facilities are there?
Electrical points and ablutions with hot and cold water.
Which campsite suits groups?
Hadida, with a lapa, boma and swimming pool. Group package: R4,800 per night for 20 people.
Events / Functions
How many guests can you host?
Warthog Lapa 8–12, Buffel Lapa 15–40, Giraffe Lapa 20–60, Meer en Berg (M&B) 50–250.
What does a function cost?
R250 per person, entrance included. Catering and extra requirements are discussed on enquiry.

No. An enquiry is not a booking. We reply to confirm availability and rates.
